Get ready for a wild week of camping fun—with a zoo twist!

Campers will learn basic camping skills like setting up a tent, identifying local wildlife, and playing nature-based games, all while discovering how to be respectful guests in the great outdoors. We’ll explore how the principles of Leave No Trace help protect animals—not just on a campsite, but in our own backyards and around the world.

Each afternoon, we’ll head to the Oglebay outdoor pool for some splash-time fun!

Prefer to skip the pool? Join us for the half-day option from 9 AM – 12 PM.

Cancellation Policy
Payment for all camp is required at the time of registration. The zoo reserves the right to cancel any camp for any reason. If the zoo cancels a camp, participants will be notified by email and/or phone at least 24 hours prior to the program's start time. Participants of camps cancelled by the zoo will be given the opportunity to schedule into another open session (of equal value), apply the refund amount toward a session of a different value, or receive a full refund. The following refund policy applies to individuals wishing to cancel a Summer Camp registration: Registrations canceled 2 weeks or more from the start date will receive a full refund or scheduled into another available session (during the current year). Cancelling 7 - 13 days prior to the camp start date will receive a 50% refund or scheduled into another available session (during the current year). No refunds will be granted for cancellations less than one week from the program's start date and the program fee is not transferable to another session.
