Step into the boots of a real zookeeper and discover what it takes to care for animals at the Good Zoo! Through hands-on activities, games, and behind-the-scenes experiences, campers will learn all about animal care—including diet prep, veterinary support, enrichment, training, and more.

You’ll help create enrichment toys, prep meals, and even try your hand at animal training—just like the pros.

All activities run Monday through Thursday at the zoo. On Friday afternoon, we’ll celebrate the week with a splash at Oglebay's outdoor pool!

Late fee
After 6/8/2026 a fee of $15.00 will apply.
Cancellation Policy
Payment for all camp is required at the time of registration. The zoo reserves the right to cancel any camp for any reason. If the zoo cancels a program, participants will be notified by email and/or phone at least 24 hours prior to the program's start time. Participants of camps cancelled by the zoo will be given the opportunity to schedule into another open session (of equal value), apply the refund amount toward a session of a different value, or receive a full refund. The following refund policy applies to individuals wishing to cancel a Summer Camp registration: Registrations canceled 2 weeks or more from the start date will receive a full refund or scheduled into another available session (during the current year). Cancelling 7 - 13 days prior to the camp start date will receive a 50% refund or scheduled into another available session (during the current year). No refunds will be granted for cancellations less than one week from the program's start date and the program fee is not transferable to another session.
