Step behind the scenes and experience what it’s really like to be a zookeeper at the Good Zoo!

Through games, hands-on activities, and expert guidance, campers will explore every part of animal care—from diet preparation and veterinary support to training techniques and enrichment. You’ll help zookeepers create enrichment items, prep meals, and even assist with basic training sessions.

Best of all, you’ll design your very own enrichment project and deliver it to one of our zoo animals!

Camp runs Monday through Thursday at the zoo. On Friday afternoon, we’ll wrap up the week with a well-earned swim at Oglebay's outdoor pool.

Before 3/31/2026 a discount of $17.93 will apply.
Late fee
After 6/15/2026 a fee of $15.00 will apply.
Cancellation Policy
Payment for all camp is required at the time of registration. The zoo reserves the right to cancel any camp for any reason. If the zoo cancels a camp, participants will be notified by email and/or phone at least 24 hours prior to the program's start time. Participants of camps cancelled by the zoo will be given the opportunity to schedule into another open session (of equal value), apply the refund amount toward a session of a different value, or receive a full refund. The following refund policy applies to individuals wishing to cancel a Summer Camp registration: Registrations canceled 2 weeks or more from the start date will receive a full refund or scheduled into another available session (during the current year). Cancelling 7 - 13 days prior to the camp start date will receive a 50% refund or scheduled into another available session (during the current year). No refunds will be granted for cancellations less than one week from the program's start date and the program fee is not transferable to another session.
